In Peninsula Youth Theatre’s one-week programs, campers can learn the basics of storytelling, show off their singing and dancing skills, or explore different kids of performance such as improvisation, sketch comedy, and puppetry. There’s something for everyone!

Scripted Camps

In this one-week version of our award-winning “Theatre in the Park” program, campers will learn the basics of storytelling while having fun rehearsing a collection of stories.

The Emperor’s New Clothes
6/8 – 6/12 for 9-12-year-olds

The only thing Emperor Eastley cares about is the clothing he wears. When two traveling weavers come to town and tell the Emperor that they can create magical fabric that reveals the true nature of the person wearing it, the Emperor demands that they make a whole new wardrobe for him. What he doesn’t know is that these magical clothes are invisible and only seen by those who are selfish and cruel.

 

The Tale of Briar Rose
6/15 – 6/18 for 9-12-year-olds

Cursed by an evil sorceress, a lovely young princess is put to sleep for 100 years, and only an act of true love can save her. Will the Princess ever be freed of her curse?

Follow thrill-seeking Mr. Toad and his friends Mole, Rat, Badger, and more throughout their exciting escapades through the woodlands. 

 

Who Stole the Bird’s Nest?
6/8 – 6/12 for 6-8-year-olds

A lovely Robin leaves her nest and eggs one day to get some food, and when she comes back, her nest and eggs are gone! Who stole her bird’s nest, and will she ever get it back? 

 

The Ugly Duckling
7/20 – 7/24 for 9-12-year-olds

After being teased by their fellow ducklings, the “Ugly Duckling” sets out on an adventure to find a new home.

Dame Duck’s Ducklings have hatched and are ready to explore the marsh, but before they go, Dame Duck has some things to teach them!

 

The Golden Goose

Simple but kind-hearted Frederick heads for the castle with his golden goose. but along the way he’s a magnet for the greedy who grab the enchanted goose and can’t let go! 

Theatre FUNdamentals

Looking for a camp where you can work on multiple aspects of theatre? Look no further! In this camp, aspiring performers will be working with their teacher to create a drama showcase featuring short scripted scenes, improvisation, musical theatre, and more! On the final day of camp, students will perform their drama showcase for family and friends at 3:00 pm on site.

Musical Theatre Camps at Congregation Beth Am

In these one-week camps, campers will show off their singing and dancing skills, develop their vocal technique while preparing a collection of songs and a short written script for their final performance. The final performance takes place on-site at 3:00 pm on the final day of camp for family and friends. All sessions take place at Congregation Beth Am.

Disney Favorites
6/8 – 6/12 – for 6-8-year-olds

In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs from some Disney favorites! Songs include “When Will My Life Begin?” from Tangled, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto, and “Let It Go” from Frozen.

 

Broadway Showstoppers
6/15 – 6/18 for 9-12-year-olds

In this session, students will put together a show centered around some of Broadway’s most exciting numbers! Songs include “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from Hairspray, “King of New York” from Newsies, and “Revolting Children” from Matilda

 

Broadway Fairytales

6/22 – 6/26 for 6-8-year-olds – Performs at Congregation Beth Am

In this session, students will put together a show centered around Broadway musicals inspired by fairytales! Songs include “Shy” from Once Upon a Mattress, “Impossible” from Cinderella, and “Giants In the Sky” from Into The Woods Jr. 

 

Hunters vs Demons: A KPop Performance Faceoff

6/29 – 7/2 for 9-12-year-olds – Performs at Congregation Beth Am

In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs from KPop Demon Hunters! Songs include “Golden”, “Soda Pop,” and “This Is What It Sounds Like.”

 

Kids on Broadway
7/6 – 7/10 for 6-8-year-olds

In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs from musicals where kids are the stars! Songs include “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile” from Annie, “Candy Man” from Willy Wonka, and “It’s Possible” from Seussical.

 

Jukebox Musicals 
7/13 – 7/17 for 9-12-year-olds

In this session, students will put together a show centered around some of Broadway’s best Jukebox Musicals! Songs include “Super Trouper” from Mamma Mia, “On Your Feet” from On Your Feet, “Beyond the Sea” from Just In Time, and “On Broadway” from Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.

 

Broadway Favorites 
7/20 – 7/24 for 6-8-year-olds

In this session, students will put together a show centered around some of Broadway’s most beloved songs! Songs include “Singing in the Rain” from Singing in the Rain, “Do-Re-Mi” from The Sound of Music, and “I’d Do Anything” from Oliver.

 

Disney Renaissance
7/27 – 7/31 for 9-12-year-olds

In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs from Disney’s Renaissance era! Songs include “Just Around the Riverbend” from Pocahontas, “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast, “Under the Sea” from The Little Mermaid, and “Strangers Like Me” from Tarzan.

 

Disney Sidekicks
8/3 – 8/7 for 6-8-year-olds

In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs sung by beloved Disney sidekicks! Songs include “When I’m Older” from Frozen 2, “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo” from Cinderella, and “Friend Like Me” from Aladdin.

 

 

Cancellation & Transfer Policy

All cancellation or transfer requests must be made in writing to caitlyn@pytnet.org.

  • Before April 30th, 2025: No cancellation or transfer fees

  • After April 30th, 2025 BUT EARLIER than three weeks from the start date of your camp: Cancellation requests are subject to a $50 fee and transfer requests are subject to a $25 fee.

  • Fewer than three weeks before the start date of your camp: Transfer requests are subject to a $75 fee.

  • We cannot provide a refund for cancellations made less than three weeks before the start of your camp.
