PYT’s flagship musical theater productions, featuring large-scale casts performing musicals on the MainStage with professional-caliber sets, lighting, sound, and costumes. These are our biggest productions of the year, with roles for all who audition. Whether this is your first CenterStage show or your fifth, you will find your place to shine at PYT.
Our storytelling-focused productions for experienced actors that bring beloved tales to life through theatrical adaptation. SOS offers middle school and high school aged performers a chance to explore narrative-driven, ensemble-based performance in small casts, and with only 2 nights of rehearsal a week for a month and no minimum required parent volunteer hours, it’s a perfect fit for those trying to balance busy schedules.
A new program offering smaller-scale, more experimental performance opportunities, giving young actors a space to explore different theatrical styles and take creative risks outside our traditional CenterStage and SOS productions. Studio shows generally rehearse in the evenings for 3-4 weeks, and perform in the studio with minimal sets, props, and costumes, so the focus can be right where it should be — on the acting.
Looking for a monologue for auditions? The PYT monologue binder is available at the children’s reference desk of the Mountain View Public Library! You can use it at the library during normal library business hours.
