In Peninsula Youth Theatre’s one-week programs, campers can learn the basics of storytelling, show off their singing and dancing skills, or explore different kids of performance such as improvisation, sketch comedy, and puppetry. There’s something for everyone!

In this one-week version of our award-winning “Theatre in the Park” program, campers will learn the basics of storytelling while having fun rehearsing a collection of stories.

Stone Soup

When a stranger arrives in town, can they find a way to get the selfish townsfolk to work together and pool their resources?

The Fairies Games

When a recently married couple buy land in Ireland to build their new home, they think they’ve hit the jackpot. What they don’t know is that the land is owned by fairies and they do not approve of people purchasing their land. The fairies will stop at nothing to make the newlyweds regret buying their home, but can they do enough to make them leave?

The Billy Goats Gruff
Ages 6-8

The Billy Goats Gruff are looking forward to visiting their grandmother’s farm for their annual family reunion. However, to get to their grandmothers they have to cross a bridge that is home to a family of vicious trolls. Will the goats be able to cross the bridge and make it to the reunion? Or will they get captured by the trolls?

The Fox Who Lost Its Tail
Ages 6-8

Performs August 8 @ 3pm at Pioneer Park
When a Fox gets caught in a trap, the only way it can pull itself free is by leaving its beautiful tail behind. How will the rest of the Foxes react to their friend’s missing tail?

Theatre FUNdamentals

Looking for a camp where you can work on multiple aspects of theatre? Look no further! In this camp, aspiring performers will be working with their teacher to create a drama showcase featuring short scripted scenes, improvisation, musical theatre, and more! On the final day of camp, students will perform their drama showcase for family and friends at 3pm on site.

Musical Theatre Camps at Congregation Beth Am

In these one-week camps, campers will show off their singing and dancing skills and develop their vocal technique while preparing a collection of songs and a short written script for their final performance. The final performance takes place at 3pm on-site on the final day of camp.

You’ve Got a Friend in Me
Ages 6-8

In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs about friendship from some beloved Disney films! Songs include “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story, “Some Things Never Change” from Frozen 2 and “I Wanna Be Like You” from The Jungle Book.

Magical Musicals
Ages 9-12
June 16 – June 20 (no camp June 19)
In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs from musicals that are the most magical! Songs include “Prince Ali” from Aladdin, “Step In Time” from Mary Poppins and “One Short Day” from Wicked.

Kids on Broadway
Ages 6-8
June 23 – June 27
In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs from musicals where kids are the stars! Songs include “It’s a Hard Knock Life” from Annie, “Consider Yourself” from Oliver!, and “I Won’t Grow Up” from Peter Pan.

Fairytales of Broadway
Ages 9-12
June 30 – July 3 (no camp Friday, July 4)
In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs from Broadway musicals inspired by fairytales! Songs include “Jitterbug” from The Wizard of Oz, “Freak Flag” from Shrek Jr. and “Believe” from Finding Neverland.

Disney Goes Broadway
Ages 6-8
July 7 – July 11
In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs from Disney films that have become Broadway musicals! Songs include “Human Stuff” from The Little Mermaid, “Fixer Upper” from Frozen, and “We Swim Together” from Finding Nemo.

Movie Musicals
Ages 9-12
July 14 – July 18
In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs from some famous movie musicals! Songs include “Come Alive” from The Greatest Showman, “Good Morning” from Singin’ in the Rain, “A Lot of Livin’ To Do” from Bye Bye Birdie, and “Ease on Down the Road” from The Wiz.

Golden Age Broadway
Ages 6-8
July 21 – July 25
In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs from musicals released during the Golden Age of Broadway! Songs include “I’ve Got the Sun in the Morning” from Annie Get Your Gun, “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat” from Guys and Dolls and “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music.

I’ve Got a Dream!
Ages 9-12
July 28 – August 1
In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs about following your dreams from some beloved Disney films! Songs include “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana, “Almost There” from The Princess and the Frog, “Go the Distance” from Hercules, and “Touch the Sky” from Brave.

Disney Favorites
Ages 6-8
August 4 – August 8
In this session, students will put together a show centered around songs from beloved Disney films! Songs include “One Last Hope” from Hercules, “Dig a Little Deeper” from The Princess and The Frog, and “I Wanna Be Like You” from The Jungle Book.

 

 

Cancellation & Transfer Policy

All cancellation or transfer requests must be made in writing to caitlyn@pytnet.org.

  • Before April 30th, 2025: No cancellation or transfer fees

  • After April 30th, 2025 BUT EARLIER than three weeks from the start date of your camp: Cancellation requests are subject to a $50 fee and transfer requests are subject to a $25 fee.

  • Fewer than three weeks before the start date of your camp: Transfer requests are subject to a $75 fee.

  • We cannot provide a refund for cancellations made less than three weeks before the start of your camp.
