Auditions

Always wanted to host a podcast? Here’s your chance! Audition to host the “Youth Theatre Podcast” presented by Peninsula Youth Theatre. We find special guests for young people to interview on a regular basis. Kids age 10-19 (still in High School) can apply. The only other restriction is that you have to have taken part in a class, camp or production presented by Peninsula Youth Theatre. There is no fee or payment for this opportunity, and selected hosts will have to sign PYT’s standard participation waiver.

Here’s how you audition:

  1. Download and complete the PYT Standard Release
  2. Make a recording of you interviewing someone in your house by asking them the following questions and using the following script. You can also record separately and email to ksimpson@pytnet.org. An online voice recorder can be found here.

SCRIPT AND QUESTIONS:
Hi – my name is (fill in your name) and today I’m interviewing (fill in guest’s name). (fill in guest’s name) thank you for being here today!

(note: feel free to add any follow up questions that you think might be interesting!)
Thank you so much for joining me today. I’d like to thank our guest (fill in guest’s name) for being with us. From Youth Theatre Podcast this is (fill in your name) signing out.

3. Fill out our audition form, including uploading the above files.

That’s it! We have no idea how many folks will audition, or how many spots we’ll have – so audition early for the best opportunity.
