Who’s Who at Peninsula Youth Theatre: 2024 Board of Directors
Sierra is entering her 21st year in college counseling and admissions, having worked on the college side as well as in both public and private high school settings. She’s visited over 300 individual colleges, the majority of them multiple times. She recently served a term as committee chair and on the Executive Board of the Western Association for College Admissions Counseling, and is a longtime volunteer and presenter at professional conferences. Sierra is also a longtime volunteer for Menlowe Ballet, and though she has no acting experience, she’s entering her fourth year with PYT as a volunteer producer and committee member. Sierra was awarded the Yearbook dedication at Menlo School in 2012, and then voted Most Inspirational by their senior class in 2017. In her spare time, Sierra’s second home is Yosemite National Park, where she intentionally gets lost for various stretches of the summer. She’s also been to the highest point of 40 states, and is an avid runner.
Mike Cobb is a 30+ year veteran of the Silicon Valley Commercial Real Estate industry. Currently a Senior Vice President with Colliers International, Mike’s clients include institutional property owners, government agencies, non-profits and prominent technology firms. Mike first discovered PYT bringing his now-adult daughter to “Theatre in the Park” performances when she was two years old. Since then, his two daughters have been a part of virtually every program that PYT has to offer. He is amazed by and grateful to the passionate and devoted PYT staff for their impact on his family and to the community at large. In addition to his work with PYT, Mike has served as a board member for a number of education oriented non-profit boards and has been appointed to several financial oversight committees for the two Mountain View school districts. When not corralling volunteers or slogging cables backstage, Mike can usually be found training at the pool.
