Based on the novel by Gennifer Choldenko
Adapted for the stage by David Bareford
Moose Flannagan and his family move to San Francisco to live on the infamous “Rock” – Alcatraz Island – where his father is a prison guard. They are hoping his sister “Natalie” will be able to go to a special school. Is it possible that the infamous criminal Al Capone does their laundry as part of his prison job? Gennifer Choldenko’s book — which was a Newbery Honor selection and received a California Young Reader Medal in 2007 — comes to life on stage.
