Play in a Box Staff
     

 

 

Meg Fischer, Lead Outreach Director, has been teaching full-time with PYT’s Play in A Box program for four years, and serving schools throughout the Bay Area. She also directs both Mainstage and Stories on Stage shows for PYT, most recently Annie Get Your Gun and How to Eat Fried Worms. Meg vocal directs, and provides private instruction in voice and acting. In addition to her work with PYT, she directs/vocal directs for WVLO Music Theatre, Theatre in the Mountains, and Broadway By The Bay. Meg is also a performer herself, seen most recently as Betty in WVLO’s Music Theatre production of White Christmas. She attended Loyola Marimount University, graduating with a degree in Theatre and Theology, spent seven years working full-time as a high school teacher at Presentation and Saint Francis, and is currently teaching college-prep Drama during Intersession with Summit and Everest charter high schools.

Beth McClelland is an Outreach Director for PYT's Play in a Box program. Beth holds a master's degree in Theatre Arts from San Jose State University and a bachelor’s degree in Theater and Dance from Santa Clara University . She has taught acting classes throughout the Bay Area with PYT, the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, and SJSU, and she has directed several plays in both community and educational settings. Recent directing credits include Rikki Tikki Tavi, Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, The Most Massive Woman Wins, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and The Siren Song of Stephen J. Gould, for which she won SJSU’s Arends Award for excellence in stage directing.  Beth also enjoys performing; her favorite roles include Minnie Fay in Hello Dolly, Helena and Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof, Miss Dorothy in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime.

Roberta Inscho-Cox graduated from California State University, East Bay with her B.A in Theatre Arts, and a concentration in Musical Theatre. Her new on-staff position at PYT as an Outreach Director for Play in a Box has given her the opportunity to do what she loves, and she’s so humbled to be a part of the PYT family! Roberta has also had the opportunity to direct the Stories on Stage production of Little Match Girl in 2010, and she is thrilled to return to the 2011-12 season to direct Just So Stories! Roberta has also had the pleasure to perform around the Bay Area, including with the cast of San Francisco’s Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding. Most recently, she had the opportunity to play Smitty in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, directed by PYT’s very own Meg Fischer!
