Your creative kid will have a blast in our drama classes and camps!  Peninsula Youth Theatre offers a variety of classes for children ages 3.5 and up. From traditional acting and singing classes to intensive camps, we are proud to offer classes and camps voted a "family favorite" by the readers of Bay Area Parent Magazine year after year.

Broadway Beginners
Young hoofers and chorines learn to sing, dance and tell a story in the grand old Broadway tradition, ending up with a chance to show off for parents the last day of class. (Ages 3.5 - 5) **Please note there will be no class the week of 2/16 - 2/20

Comedic Acting
Make 'em laugh! Students will develop their acting skills by honing their comedic chops and performing scenes and monologues from some of the funniest shows around. No prior experience necessary, but does require regular attendance and memorization between sessions. (Ages11 and up) **Please note there will be no class the week of 2/16 - 2/20

Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance
Students learn to sell a Broadway song through voice and movement, and have a lot of fun doing it! Song and dance routines learned will be performed for families and friends during the final class of the session. (Ages 6 - 8) **Please note there will be no class the week of 2/16 - 2/20

Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance Some MORE
Older children will add to their repertoire of skills in this follow-up class to “Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance.” Learn more about how great performers put acting, song and dance together to create a memorable performance! (Ages 9 -11) **Please note there will be no class the week of 2/16 - 2/20.

Awesome Auditions
Actors should have 10 - 15 audition monologues in their portfolio so they have the perfect piece for whatever they are auditioning for. Whether you're new to performing or have auditioned numerous times, this class will help you put together an audition that will let you shine! We'll help you pick a monologue and song that makes the most of the limited time at an audition. (Ages 8 - 12) **Please note there will be no class on 2/17

Acting for Fun
This popular class encouages students to enjoy themselves on stage by combining theater games, creative dramatics, and lots of fun! Learn to think on your feet, create interesting characters, and relax in front of a group. (Ages 9 - 12) **Please note there will be no class the week of 2/16 - 2/20.

Advanced Acting for Fun
Older students will build upon physical and vocal skills learned in "Acting for Fun" as they explore scripted material from some of PYT's upcoming MainStage shows like "Once Upon a Mattress" and "Puss 'N Boots." (Ages 10 - 12, or 9 year olds who have completed "Acting for Fun") **Please note there will be no class the week of 2/16 - 2/20

Munchkin Players
Students let their imagination fly, using pantomime, sounds and simple plays to practice relaxing in front of a group and working as a team to create a final showcase for parents. (Ages 5 - 7) **Please note there will be no class the week of 2/16 - 2/20

Pint Size Players
Junior Thespians will get to experience all of the things that go into putting on a real show - creating a character, working on their own sets and costumes and putting on a final performance the last day of class! (ages 7 - 10) **Please note there will be no class the week of 2/16 - 2/20

Story Stretchers
Familiar stories come to life using music, movement and games. Young performers learn to explore, stretch and have a blast becoming princesses, monsters or astronauts - wherever the story takes them! (Ages 3.5 - 5) **Please note there will be no class the week of 2/16 - 2/20

Broadway Dance for Boys
Joining a dance class for the first time can be intimidating - especially if you also have to worry about being the only boy in the room. This class is designed to introduce boys to the dance moves they'll need for any musical, and to allow boys with some experience the opportunity to practice and perfect a special dance step or skill. (Ages 8 and up) **Please note there will be no class the week of 2/16 - 2/20

February Camp: Feb 16 - 20
Act up during winter break in this fun camp! Campers will play drama games, make props, sets and costumes and put on a short play for family and friends at the end of the week. All participants should come dressed to move and bring a lunch and water bottle.
